MARKETING MANAGER - Wrangler Modern

Manager, Marketing - Modern: Become the Newest Member of Kontoor Brands  

The primary responsibilities of the Manager, Marketing are to manage the marketing programs for designated SBU(s) to fully support defined business objectives, enhancing awareness and stimulating increased sales to the trade and consumer. While overseeing the day to day management of a team of 1-4

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Supports development of marketing strategies to maximize sales, profitability and market share for the Wrangler brand by liaising with advertising, public relations and design agencies as well key internal business partners. Including; merchandising, sales, ecomm, creative services, research departments and senior management, to assist with developing advertising, events, in-store creative, public relations communications, retail presentations, etc.

  • Manages the tactical execution of brand marketing initiatives, from creative development to execution, to ensure integrated brand communications are delivered on time and are consistent through all communication channels. A core component of this is working with the e-commerce/DTC team to bring seasonal product stories to life – driving demand and sales through our owned e-commerce.

  • Manages and monitors marketing budget to ensure all commitments and expenditures are accurate and on budget.

  • Develop and maintain a professional staff. Establish a positive and satisfying work environment while carrying out department objectives. Create adequate career opportunities by developing staff to each individual's potential.

  • Works on special projects as needed by management

  • Strong team player and collaborator with experience working across large constituent groups

  • Extensive knowledge and involvement of advertising and marketing development process (brief writing, calendar development, providing creative feedback, media planning and analysis), for both trade and consumer audiences

  • Strong knowledge and experience in working with and managing creative, PR and media agencies.

  • Integrated media management with a focus on digital investment

  • Knowledge of retail/apparel industry/ excellent organization and presentation skills/excellent multi-tasking capabilities/strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)/strong analytic skills and budget management experience.

Experience/Education:

  • 6-8 years marketing experience, ideally within the apparel/fashion or related space, and with solid global marketing experience.

  • Experience with ecommerce/DTC programs– generating demand through seasonal product storytelling

  • Experience creating lifestyle content (images & copy) & extensive experience with film & stills production process.

  • Experiential marketing & PR experience

  • 4 year college degree in business, communications or marketing
