ASSOCIATE DESIGNER - Women's Contemporary

Greylin is a fast growing LA-based women’s contemporary brand  seeking a talented Associate Designer to join our team.  The role is for full time and will focus on all categories - from dresses, blouses, to outerwear. Exciting opportunity to grow as a designer in a hands on intimate and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with head designer to assist with preparing each seasonal collection for RTW from concept to delivery
• Communicate daily with overseas vendors to ensure timely arrival of samples
• Analyze key product trends in marketplace and translate ideas into products that are relevant for our brand
• Maintains design records and ensures line sheets and tech packs are up to date
• Ability to create detailed flats and tech packs
• Contribute to the creativity of designs
• Conduct preliminary design research
• Maintain organization of styles and style info throughout the entire design process
• Pull fabrics, develop concepts, assemble presentation boards for meetings, and prepare mock-ups, color-ups, inspirational photos
• Create Illustrator and hand sketches; prepare specification sheets and line sheets and update as necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Design
• 2-3 years’ experience in women's contemporary brand
• Excellent hand sketching skills
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Ability to create detailed tech packs
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Hardworking, kind, problem solver who leads by example
• Excellent time management with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
