REGIONAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY:Glll Apparel Group has an exciting opportunity for a talented Regional Merchandising Manager to join our team. The Manager will develop and lead a merchandising team, foster retail relationships,strategically drive strong sales results and execute compelling visual merchandising in several retail locations in the Southern California region.  Covering LA North/South,Orange County and  San Diego.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, develop and support a team of 5 merchandiser coordinators.  

• Monitor and report to Corporate Office the current condition of the stores including but not limited to: sales performance, brand positioning, stock levels, visual merchandise displays, store traffic, happenings with associates and upcoming store events.

• While in stores: work with teams to set fixtures to represent the clothing lines presentation standards, partner with store teams to secure prime positioning, discuss with managers ways to improve business, make certain that the floor is fully stocked by moving pieces from stock room onto selling floor.

• Analyze weekly sales reports and on hand stock levels from this year (TY) to last year (LY) and plan for the Southern California region.

• Prepare store reports including “before” and “after” pictures, descriptions of visual presentations, sales and stock analysis, customer call-outs and any other comments that may be important for the sales team to know.

• Help prepare floor for management visits and participate in all store events to help sell product and more importantly to show our support for all respective stores.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Minimum Associates Degree 

• Minimum of 2 years of management and merchandising brand development  experience.

• General understanding of the department store business and how to analyze the business with “retail math” (i.e., sell through, sales and stock penetration and gross margin).

• Excellent customer service, strong verbal and written communication, highly organized,  successfully works in a team environment, self motivated and strong time management skills.

• Strong computer skills and must have access to a camera and own transportation.
