KIDS ACCESSORY DESIGNER

Bioworld Merchandising is seeking a designer in the kids accessory division.

Job Responsibilities to include:

  • Research, organize, present, and translate trends, graphic, and color inspiration, provide market research as needed
  • Interpret and incorporate those trends into seasonal product development
  • Create and design into seasonal line plans
  • Develop sketches across our Kids private label product categories, with focus on knitted head and hand, cut and sewn head and hand, ski product.
  • Work within PLM system to enter, track, and change styles throughout the product life cycle
  • Communicate daily with factories throughout product lifecycle
  • Communicate with Sales team to make sure account needs are being met from Design.
  • Create tech packs and line sheets
  • Assess fit and create specs
  • Work with product master grids detailing color, size, construction, changes, sample sending, etc. throughout a season

Required Skills and Education:

  • Degree in Fashion Design or similar
  • 3+ years of experience in the fashion industry in Design or Product Development (children’s and/or accessories preferred, Walmart or mass experience a bonus)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Brand appropriate aesthetic
  • Motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Team player who can collaborate with others
