SALES ASSISTANT - Wholesale/Retail Experience, Home Textiles

As a key member of the Sales team, the Sales Assistant works closely with the Sales team supporting the planning and executing of sales meetings and presentations, creating sales reports, gathering samples, preparing sales materials and interacting daily with internal departments, customers and our manufacturing partners. This includes:

  • Prepare for sales meetings, including but not limited to line sheets, price sheets, presentations, organizing product for meetings in showroom, etc
  • Provide sales reports in timely manner
  • Attend sales/market meetings and take notes.
  • Prepare recaps after meetings and ensure follow up/follow through
  • Communicate with factories for any/all sampling.
  • Ensure samples are received and sent out to customer for review.
  • Follow up and communicate with sales and buying team for approvals.
  • Handle customer service requests with the assistance of the customer service department.
  • Escalate larger service issues to sales management so they may proactively address concerns.
  • Work closely with the sales and VP of Development to ensure they have all information required for new program setup; item setup form, new variant form, market pages, and branding approvals.
  • Work closely with photography to complete all imagery required for labeling/packaging.
  • Work closely with design to complete all labeling/packaging before sending off to buyer for final approval.
  • Work closely with production to ensure all customer details are followed as requested and ordered in a timely fashion.
  • Work closely with logistics to make sure all customer goods are delivered and routed as requested.
  • Communicate daily with all account participants to make sure customer needs are satisfied, including: Sales team, Buyers, Assistants, Planners, Design team etc.

Requirements

  • One plus years' Retail/Wholesale Home Goods experiene
  • Ability to Multi-task and Prioritize with a strong sense of urgency
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Team player
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet
