Associate Designer - Sleepwear

Komar, a global leader in the Design, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Distribution of apparel with a diverse portfolio of owned and licensed brands is seeking an Associate Sleepwear Designer. Candidates must have the ability to work remotely and in our Jeresey City, NJ office.

Responsibilities include:

Contribute to designing a line that reflects the aesthetic of the brands and a solid understanding of the customer.
Execute original design sketches; strong artistic skill needed and excellent technical skills using Photoshop and Illustrator. Good color sense and understanding of prints.
Assist in the preparation of concept, fabric and design presentation boards.
Collaborate with technical design team and production to ensure accurate and timely sample development; participate in all fittings.
Prepare tech packages for production and technical design teams which include construction details, sketches, fabrications, trim sheets and colors.
Shop the market and trend resources for design inspiration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
2 to 5 years of sleepwear design experience preferred
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience working within seasonal design development calendars
Ability to multitask and have strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Team player with great interpersonal skills
Strong ability to multi-task and shift direction with little notice
Positive attitude and ability to work well in team environment
