TECHNICAL FIT DESIGNER - Outerwear

POSITION OVERVIEW- TO PROVIDE FINEST EXECUTION TO ENSURE FIT AND ASTHETIC MEETS THE COMPANY’S STANDARD. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with designer/merchandiser to develop fit and aesthetic specifications 
• Measure garments to ensure they align with given specifications 
• Lead daily fit sessions, identify problems & clearly communicate fit/pattern corrections to production teams & overseas factories
• Submit graded specs
• Troubleshoot and proactively anticipate possible problems. Offer appropriate solutions.
• Organize & maintain fit block library

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of experience as a spec technician 
• Must have experience in Outerwear 
• Mass Market and Mid Tier experience a plus
• Must be knowledgeable in grading, and be up to date in current grade rules 
• Pattern making & garment construction knowledge preferred
• Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal
• Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe Illustrator & be proficient on a MAC
• Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree 
• Team player with excellent time management and organizational skills 
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
