Assistant Designer

Qualifications:

• Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or Related Field
• Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), good knowledge of Excel
• Familiarity with technical design process & initiating tech packs
• Must have good time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Garment Construction and Pattern-making knowledge
• Looking for a team player with great energy and flexibility

Key Accountabilities:

• Research concepts and trends in the market with a brand appropriate aesthetic
• Contributes to the creation of seasonal designs according to predetermined style plans and emerging trends
• Assists in creating technical packs, which include detailed sketches, fabric and garment construction, and artwork layout/graphic placement
• Communicate regularly to factories and Production team; maintaining submit tracking log. 
• Maintain and organize product approvals, samples, fabrics and trims
• Work with brand licensor for all product approvals: approval paperwork and coordinating approval sample submissions.   
• Meet all deadlines for special projects assigned (Arranging Photoshoot Samples,Trend Research, Mood boards, etc.)
• Experience in activewear or print/graphic design a plus!
