ECOMMERCE MANAGER

The e-commerce manager must have expert analytical and organizational skills. He or she must also be skillful in following tasks:

  • Expert communication skills, both verbal as well as written
  • Creative with a strategic mind set
  • Flexible to changing conditions and possessing high level of integrity
  • Professional attitude with clients as well as colleagues
  • Expert knowledge of various business principles such as marketing strategy, financial analysis, and supply chain oversight
  • Expert understanding of different technological components of online commerce
  • Knowledge of database creation and management
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization tactics, data mining, and security issues

The main job responsibility of an e-commerce manager is supervising and managing the entire e-commerce department. Along with this, he or she also carries out various other job duties as follows:

  • Identifying and evaluating new marketing opportunities to increase the website traffic and online production
  • Determining the website format and interacting with the web developers to design or make changes accordingly
  • Undertaking a research to understand the demographic targets, search engine traffic, media buying, etc.
  • Financial planning and preparing of budgets
  • Supervising the e-commerce department and allocating task to the staff
  • Managing ecom digital stylists and sales
  • Undertake interviewing processes and recruit the e-commerce analysts, marketing executives, etc.
  • Providing necessary training to the newly joined recruits and allocate work to them
  • Demonstrating project strategies and plans to the higher members of team and company
  • Work with external partners, freelancers, and agencies to develop new techniques, programs, software’s constantly needed to implement and run a successful luxury website
  • Always being proactive of technology industry needs and trends and presenting them to stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years’ experience in luxury, or related field of E-COMMERCE, Technology, or Digital
  • BA or MBA
  • Microsoft Office Suites
  • Experience BIG COMMERCE, MAGENTO, SHOPIFY, or NETSUITE platforms
  • SEO
  • Photoshop
  • HTML5
  • Creative and technical knowledge of Homepage, PDP pages, product loads updates, email marketing platforms
  • Ability to work in a highly fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with strategic planning, financial analysis, and project management
  • Ability to develop and manage cross-functional relationships across a team at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Willingness to take initiative, work autonomously, and tackle complex situation
  • Interest in fashion and luxury e-Commerce, prior experience in fashion a plus
