Graphic and Print Designer

Santa Fe Apparel is looking for a creative individual with Men and Women's graphic and print experience to join our design team! This position focuses on creating graphics and prints for t-shirts, soft dressings, sportswear, athleisure, outerwear, and accessories that are suitable for either fashion focused or outdoor/active focused brands. There is endless room for creativity across Junior, Missy, and Mens. 

An ideal candidates has a strong sense of fashion, extensive fabric and trim knowledge, excellent time management skills, knowledge of the newest trends, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Extensive experience in graphics and prints is a must. 

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Identify fashion trends that align with each brand's core identity
  • Researching the latest trends in patterns, designs, graphics, and fabrics 
  • Working closely with other members of the design team to create brand appropriate designs
  • Creating graphics for t-shirts, hoodies, and other products that align with the brand or theme
  • Creating all over prints and placement prints for a variety of apparel categories
  • Collaborate in developing capsules and individual styles to meet customer's needs when necessary
  • Working with overseas suppliers on sourcing new fabrics and developing new prints
  • Approving lab dips, strike offs, and other submissions from factories

Secondary Responsibilities include: 

  • Creating branding, trims, etc. for current and new labels
  • Speaking and working with customers directly
  • Ensuring new development meets costing requirements
  • Create development tech packs for sampling
  • Manage graphic time and action calendar to meet development deadlines
  • Shop the marketplace for new development and fashion inspiration

Requirements:

  • 8+ Years design experience
  • 5+ Years Sportswear experience
  • Expert with design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Team Player and open to design changes.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, collaborative, environment
