ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - Specialty Store

Reporting To: Specialty Sales Manager, Women’s & Men’s 

Location: Dallas Showroom - FIG 

Territories: West Coast and Southwest 

French Connection USA, an established global retailer, seeks an experienced Account Executive to join its Wholesale  Sales team. 

Job Summary 

The Account Executive will showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills. Act proactively to address  clients’ needs and facilitate the sale process from beginning to the end. Ultimate objectives are to contribute to an  increase in sales and maintain company-client relationships at a high standard. 

Responsibilities 

  • Women’s and Men’s divisions 
  • Manage key accounts and identify new potential customers, develop relationships with accounts to  facilitate strong partnerships, traveling to trade shows and road appointments, setting up showroom for  market appointments, following through on the sale to an account, monitoring shipping for their territory,  and growing the business in general 
  • Learn to sell the line, have strong understanding of account’s historical performance to guide future buys,  discuss brand performance, write balanced orders while working with buyers, analyze orders before  shipping to ensure that all new additions are taken advantage of, and maintaining showroom presentation
  • Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and improve customer experience 
  • Create sales strategies to ensure continued development of their territory throughout the selling season
  • Execute merchandising strategies learned at line review 
  • Stay current with new design, trend and product launches in order to best present the line
  • Ensure all samples and supplies necessary for the showroom are received/updated on a monthly basis
  • Travel to states within their territory to ensure that major areas of business are scouted and developed
  • Trouble shoot problems and resolve complaints in a timely manner 

Requirements 

  • Minimum of 2 years Wholesale or Retail experience is a must, along with general knowledge of the fashion  industry 
  • An ability to grasp clients’ needs and to increase customer engagement 
  • Must be sales driven and have ambition to essentially run own business 
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, negotiation, analytical and time-management skills
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel in particular) 
  • Demonstrate high energy level and strong interpersonal skills 
  • Travel ability and driver’s license are required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
