DESIGNER - Contemporary Brand

Lucy Paris is an established Young Contemporary brand and we are currently searching for a talented and experienced designer to join our growing team.

The Designer will be responsible for all aspects of the design process.

Duties:

• Translate design direction and fabric/trim selections into original designs
• Create original flat sketches based on existing trends and mainstream designs
• Work with Design Team to create tech packs, ensuring designs accurately translate into development samples
• Collaborate with Trend Forecasting Team on seasonal trends and concepts
• Research trends and bring in new ideas through competitive shopping, magazines, websites, and runway show
• Train and mentor Assistant and Associate Designers

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Apparel Design
• Must have 3 years of Contemporary Design experience
• Must have 5 years of Design Experience
• Must have ability to sketch by hand and with Illustrator
• Must be proficient in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Word
• Must have strong interest in fashion design, color sense, merchandising ability and general market knowledge
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently
