FREELANCE DESIGN ASSISTANT
Maggy London, a leading designer and manufacturer in the dress industry is seeking an assistant in our design department. Our design team designs and develops six seasonal collections each year. The intern would directly work with our design team to achieve their day to day activities and time sensitive goals.Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Attend all Design Meetings and take notes accordingly to update all design boards, charts, and records etc. This includes:

• Uploading/updating sketches & sketch revisions
• Maintaining clear and organized design wall with sketches, prints, swatches, etc
• Development updates in Airtable database

• Track style development in Airtable and ensure appropriate information is linked to each style
• Attend print meetings to assist during the print selection process and with maintaining purchase records
• Assist with all design renderings (ML line and private label projects that require CADS)
• Organize and update all seasonal fabric, trim, and style binders
• Assist with color records and update all seasonal color cards

Skills/Requirements

• Knowledge of fabric, garment construction, and fit
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to meet commitments accurately and proficiently
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
