SENIOR DIRECTOR, INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Specific Responsibilities

As Senior Director of the Centric Brands Communications team, you will design and drive a strategic communications narrative that helps to create and foster a positive and authentic employee experience, ultimately influencing growth and enhancing corporate reputation. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), you will lead an editorial and design team in the development of written content, video scripts, feature stories, and lead the production and execution of multi-platform projects alongside design and marketing.

This role requires the ability to interpret complex briefs and translate them into engaging, captivating creative campaigns. Excellent copywriting, editing, and creative concept development skills are essential to this role.

You are someone with the project management skills to juggle several assignments and have the ability to self-prioritize your workload, and the workload of others, to achieve deadlines. You enjoy working with various internal and external stakeholders and understand the importance of upholding the Company’s brand and reputation. Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and execute a communications strategy, approach, process, and protocol that drives and builds a more united, collaborative and engaged workforce
  • Partner with the CHRO to help shape and implement a consistent voice and story for leadership and Company communications
  • Deliver informative, engaging and inspiring communication to employees through a range of digital/mobile platforms and face-to-face channels
  • Develop engaging employee-focused marketing campaigns to support various HR, community engagement, volunteering, health, and wellness initiatives, and translate campaign materials and results into relevant and compelling content
  • Support CEO and CHRO on corporate presentations, executive announcements, leadership materials and communications execution
  • Work alongside the Marketing creative team to develop concepts for internal communications campaigns, our employer brands and overseeing the seamless flow of internally published content to our external social media platforms
  • Respond to questions and comments posted on our social media in a timely manner and seamlessly move difficult questions offline
  • Lead and develop a small editorial team in story development, overseeing idea pitches and writing/editing content for publishing
  • Identify ways to measure the effectiveness of the Company’s communications effort, using existing and new measurement

Engagement & Event Management

  • Lead employee engagement programs, including identifying opportunities to connect with employees and developing key messages and communications material to support those programs.
  • Plan, manage and execute internal events on behalf of Centric Brands end-to-end, including partnering with vendors, developing copy for messaging, and overseeing event logistics.
  • Manage event presence, including hosting live events and providing event support.
  • Develop and execute detailed creative campaigns and events around large-scale internal initiatives such as performance management, wellness, annual open enrollment, etc.
  • Collaborate with HR, Marketing, and Internal Communication teams on communicating and executing employee engagement initiatives, creating and managing the calendar of events, webinars in-house and online.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 12+ years’ experience in marketing, communications and/or social media roles in-house or agency-side
  • Experience leading small to medium-sized teams
  • Impeccable English writing and editing skills
  • An eye for design and talent for pitching creative, conceptual ideas
  • Broad understanding of SEO and content marketing
  • Experience with corporate intranet
