Senior Designer - Women's RTW

Senior Designer is needed for a well-known boho chic lifestyle brand based on the west coast. Join a talented and motivated team that produces inspired, casual upmarket women’s non-denim and denim styles. You’ll be a part of an iconic brand and passionate team that celebrates creativity. We’re looking for someone who can deliver innovative and compelling concepts for women’s fashion designs with a focus on bottoms.

What you’ll be doing:

• Conceptualize and design women’s fashion assortments, starting from trend research through final Production handoff
• Create innovative and inspired non-denim & denim design sketches using Illustrator
• Design concepts to meet the women’s style "Assortment Plan" and margin requirements
• Build partnerships and collaborative relations with cross functional teams such as Product Development and Merchandising
• Research seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials, styling and trims
  
• Incorporate fit session notes while maintaining style and design integrity
• Ensure design and final product is consistent with lifestyle brand identity, design goals and profitability
• Create concept and trend boards for seasonal themes
• Create CADS for embroidery, mainline non-denim & denim bottoms, wovens and outerwear 
• Supply all needed communication and information for hand over to the Product Development team
• Provide status updates and adhere to calendar timelines and delivery

Success skills:

• Preferred bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Product Development,  Graphic Design or similar. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 5-8+ years of design experience within women’s apparel and bottoms.
  
• Some outerwear design experience or various fabric knowledge is highly preferred
• CAD proficiency, advanced Photoshop and Illustrator with flat and Illustrator sketching
• Knowledge of wash development and dyes for non-denim, denim and luxury fabrics
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fluid team environment.
• Ability to give and take constructive criticism to elevate design
• Excellent communication skills via emails, in-person or online presentations, chats, etc.

This is full time career opportunity for a global, elevated lifestyle brand. Company offers competitive salary +bonus & benefits package and company perks. The current interview process is both online and in-person. Office is a hybrid transition, with onsite work 2-3 days and work from home 1-2 days. Mandatory meetings are 1 or 2 times a week, onsite in-person. Company is willing to assist with relocation to the west region, if needed.
