Production Coordinator

The Job:

The Sergio Production Coordinator contributes to the seasonal production process by coordinating the placement, execution, and follow-up of manufacturing orders and by ensuring the timely delivery of quality, profitable goods.

This role will report directly to the brand’s VP of Production.

The Daily:

  • Partner with product development team to ensure that information sent to factories aligns with product direction
  • Review UPC and EAN sticker drafts and ensure that information matches Apparel Magic
  • Communicate changes to the collection to licensing partners as needed
  • Assist in product development with merchandising, design, and sales to ensure correct execution of products and attainment of agreed-upon margin goals
  • Assist in negotiations on pricing to ensure profitability, where appropriate
  • Track customs classification coordination for imports
  • Identify and raise quality and technical issues with factories, mills, vendors, and team(s)
  • Track capacity and performance of vendors for Production Manager
  • Track accurate costing and commitments to raw materials, where appropriate.
  • Update tech packs as needed and ensure that factories have the latest tech packs for bulk production
  • Manage bulk fabric submits/lab dips after order placement
  • Track SMS and assist in receiving/unpacking
  • Track Preproduction (PP) and Top of Production (TOP) Samples
  • Streamline the production process 

The Essentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field or relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills.
  • Proactive, organized, efficient, detail-oriented, meets deadlines on time, accountable, and enthusiastic.
