Associate Technical Designer - Women's Apparel

We are an established designer and manufacturer of women's apparel. Some of the categories include woven and knit tops, bottoms, shorts, skirts, dresses, etc... Our Technical Design Team seeks an experienced Associate Technical Designer to help with speccing, fittings and fit comments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Technical Design or Patternmaking (preferred)
• 2-5 year experience with Technical Design
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Basic knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, sewing techniques, fabrications and trims
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Organize and prepare samples for the fittings
• Measure samples accurately and in timely manner before the fittings
• Create and update technical packages with measurements and construction details
• Take notes and pictures and participate with the team in the fittings
• Help with drafting and sending fitting comments
• Maintain organization of the samples closet
• Support the needs of the department if necessary

Compensation

• $60,000 annual salary + benefits
