FASHION DESIGNER - Temp to Perm

Designer – Temp to Perm.

We are a growing apparel manufacturing company located in midtown Manhattan. We specialize in the OPP customer and looking for a designer to add to our team freelance with a possible full time opportunity. This is a great opportunity for a designer looking to grow and learn. We hang in stores such as Ross, Burlington and Variety.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have a formal Design education
• At least 5+ years of Design experience in Missy woven and knit tops
• Must have advanced skills in Photoshop and Illustrator for CADS
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines in a fast- paced work environment
• Must be able to take direction and work independently
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Positive and professional attitude
• Understands the OPP customer
• Must be Mac proficient
• Must be able to design original prints in full repeat
• Strong eye for color
• Create designs from concept through production
• Responsible for staying ahead of current trends in design
• Must be able to create graphics from scratch
• Must be able to work in fast pace environment
• Ability to work independently under general direction

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify new trends, innovations, opportunities for design concepts
• Provide reliable and responsible support to Design Director and VP
• Draw accurate flat sketches and detailed sketches
• Create new trend right prints and set- up for factory
• Help research and create seasonal color cards
