Associate Product Manager - Denim

Responsibilities:

  • Partnership with cross functional teams including Design, Raw Material, Merchandising, Technical Design, Quality Control and Logistics.
  • Managing 3-4 season at a time during different life stages of development and production.
  • Manage every step of the process from product development through production.
  • Manage development + production calendar

Day-to-day:

  • Drive the development process with Design, Raw Material & Merchandising with quality and cost top of mind
  • Problem solve challenges in development and production in partnership with the cross functional teams, facilitate the outcome
  • Manage to the development calendar and milestones
  • Review & approve time and action calendars, manage WIPS (work in progress), keep system updated
  • Partner with overseas suppliers via email and phone calls

Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of product development and production experience in Denim, with knowledge of fabric, wet and dry processing
  • An entrepreneurial & resourceful approach with creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with change
  • Robust communication skills both internally and externally
  • Organizational skills, are timely and hold to a high level of accuracy
  • Background in managing/maintaining factory capacity
  • Capability building responsive strategies
  • Experience working with partners overseas and have traveled internationally
  • Strong team orientation
  • Detail oriented with ability to multitask
  • Personal leadership, creative problem solving, and ability to take initiative
  • Eyes for detail and passion for quality while working with design and technical teams
