Inventory Planner

Position Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your career in a company with plenty of room for growth.  The Inventory Planner will work directly with the Director of Manufacturing and should have solid apparel and supply chain experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Running weekly and monthly selling reports to determine top performing categories.
  • Sales forecasting – projecting future demand based on historical data and projected growth.
  • Monitor the inventory by style to ensure inventory in all sizes.
  • Work with Production team on delivery dates to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Suggest styles for reorder based on selling history and current inventory position.
  • Alert division heads of aged inventory to closeout/markdown.
  • Track available to ship inventory by category and share findings with sales team to maximize sales.
  • Accountable for the product offering and assortment, life cycle analysis and recommendations to re-market or reposition.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equilavent in a related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Very strong excel and data management skills.
