Apparel Cut and Sew Production Supervisor

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of about 20 sewing machine operators. We have a four day work week with hours Mon-Thurs from 7am to 5pm.

Prange Apparel LLC is a small but rapidly expanding cut and sew women's boutique apparel manufacturing company located in Nashville, TN. We specialize in high end women’s ready-to-wear and boutique clothing. We are looking for someone who can lead the sewing team to deliver the quality and consistent results that our company is known for while hitting the target completion dates. We are expanding to a new 6,000 sq ft facility in January and we are looking for someone to grow with our company. 

Responsibilities:

• Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results and creating sewing schedules
• Enforces company policies and guidelines
• Coaches and trains employees on quality and efficiency standards
• Oversees cutting department and creates weekly cutting schedule
• Assist in the interviewing process for new candidates on the production floor.
• Implements time-saving strategies and techniques
• Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
• Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
• Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
• Compiles and analyzes production records
• Implements ideas to continuously improve on production flow and efficiency

​Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory or management experience required
• Previous experience with manufacturing, production or related fields
• Must demonstrate high energy and positivity
• Knowledge in sewing and apparel a huge plus
• Excellent coaching and communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Broad knowledge of production planning processes
• Strategic planning skills
• Understanding and operation of industrial sewing machines is not a requirement but a benefit
• Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
• High school diploma
• Background check required
